CEO Alex Schey listed as exemplar in The Manufacturer Top 100

On Tuesday November 1, more than 300 people, including industry leaders and the wider manufacturing community gathered at an exclusive event at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery to celebrate the launch of The Manufacturer Top 100 report for 2016.

The Manufacturer Top 100 project began in 2014, with an aim to dispel the myths surrounding the image of manufacturing and to provide a platform to publicly identify dynamic leaders and innovators in the industry. The Top 100 comprises of a report and event recognising an elite group of individuals identified as manufacturing champions. The report helps to provoke more widespread competitiveness within the sector, highlighting not only best practice but inspiring others to follow suit.

The Manufacturer Top 100 2016 comprises incredible candidates hailing from all over the country, from a range of sectors and occupy varying roles in manufacturing. Out of the winners twenty people are highlighted as exemplar and profiled in depth, to underline their outstanding contribution to the sector.

This year Alex Schey was not only listed amongst the Top 100, but was highlighted as one of the twenty exemplary figures. The nomination has provided him with a fitting opportunity to stand back and take a look at how far he and the business have come.
“I’m not constantly thinking we are doing something absolutely incredible here because my head is so deep into it that it just becomes the norm,” he said. “Being nominated reminds me how far we’ve come and achieved. That’s one of the reasons why I’m so honoured to be a part of this."
